The Subject Files series is made up of three subseries consisting of correspondence, working papers, and financial reports covering a wide array of company financial operations audited by Ford staff. The Reports and Working Papers subseries, 1933-1941 (2.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 779, consists of correspondence, geologic evaluations, photographs of facilties and equipment, and production reports related to oil well operations at Ford Motor Company's Long Beach, California plant. The subseries also contains correspondence, working papers, and general financial reports for Ford Motor Company, including summary year-end reports, profit and loss summaries for Ford's European branches, expense data and reports, branch expense summaries, administrative schedules for the 1933 corporate inventory, general accounting procedure letters, and newspaper clippings covering a wide variety of topics related to Ford Motor Company. The National Industrial Recovery Act records subseries, 1933-1935 (4.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 203, is made up of the administrative files of various Auditing Department staff relating to the implementation of wage and price controls established under the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933 throughout Ford Motor Company, its affiliates, and subsidiary operations . The General Subject Files subseries, 1913-1945 (48.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 33, is described separately.
